Why we run
Getting into school
is only the first step.
At Affecto Foundation, we help academically gifted young people whose education is threatened by financial hardship.
Watoto Wasome supports more than fees: uniforms, learning materials, transport, mentorship, psychosocial care, career guidance and the confidence to keep going.
250+ learner journeys supported across Kenya
No child should walk this journey alone.
As a community, we can help them stay, learn and thrive.
The Affecto 2026 Half Marathon is about keeping promising learners in school. Every step helps a learner stay on track. Miles for Minds aims to raise KSh 25 million to sustain Watoto Wasome learners and welcome even more deserving students from 2027 onward.
